$300, $200, and $100.00 will be awarded to a Florida students’ school.
$125, $100, $75 will be awarded to a Florida student.
ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL EARN 30 COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS!
Applicants are challenged to create a persuasive road safety essay regarding the following topics:
Distracted Driving
Impaired Driving
Seat Belt Compliance
Aggressive Driving
Drowsy Driving
Speeding
Pedestrian Safety
Bicycle Safety
Bicycle Safety
Requirements
Essay's must be a minimum of 600 words.
INTRODUCTION
The introduction of your essay should start with broad sentences, revealing the central idea of your essay, not the details and individual arguments.
THE BODY
Your primary focus should be describing, arguing, and explaining the points you listed in your introductory paragraph.
THE CONCLUSION
In the concluding paragraph, you need to summarize the key points of your essay and restate your main claim.

The 2024 Road Safety Essay contest is open to all Florida middle and high school students. The options are endless! Just remember, safe driving behavior is important for passengers as well as drivers.
